FOUNDED BY the legendary beauty icon Frederique Deleage in 1977, the Frederique Academy has successfully graduated over 20,000 spa, beauty and make-up professionals over the past 30 years.
The purpose and mission of the Frederique Academy is to provide skilled and passionate professionals for the spa, beauty and cosmetic industry. This is achieved through the core basic international accreditations in face and body diplomas, which run for 6-1 2 months. Other training that focuses on skills development training for spas and salons includes everything from ChineseTraditional Medicine, for example Chinese Meridian Massage, reflexology and moxibustion to specific massage training like Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Sports and Thai including Body Mechanics and Ethics for the therapist, to Master Waxing and Manicure/Pedicure.
The Academy also offers tailor-made training to spas and salons to train their therapists for specific menu requirements or to assist with up-skill training on location.
The education team is made up of internationally qualified educators and specialists in their particular field or discipline, which ensures a high quality learning environment for all students and candidates training with the Academy.
Each year the Academy invites top industry experts to visit Hong Kong and deliver seminars and programs specific to the needs of the spa, beauty and cosmetic industries. Past guests have included Susie Santiago from Santi, UK, Lisa Starr from Wynne Business, USA, Jan Kusmirek from Fragrant Earth Aromatherapy, UK and Dr. Murad from Murad Inc, USA.
